Yup, my lifetime average is 21 MPG and I have 470 ft lbs of torque.

Overall, my 2.7 was around 1 MPG better for daily driving. I am interested in what I would get on the highway with my 3.5...haven't done a long trip yet. In theory it should be worse but I have 3.55 gears in this one instead of 3.73s.

    @Clark27

thanks again for the free set of 4Runner 5-star wheels.
Getting them sandblasting. Debating on powder coating vs painting at home with self-etching primer, sem wheel paint, automotive clear. apparently 5-star wheels could be considered a lightweight upgrade

my take on wheels and paint: depends on your use. I take mine into the woods and get curb rash time to time. Every time I take them off to rotate them I hit them with plasti dip (sfter the first application, I don’t clean them as well as I should it’s kinda a micky mouse rattle fan job).

but it looks good! My wheels always look clean. Yes powder/paint is better, but harder to touch up should anything happen.

that said I beat the piss out of my stuff, apparently.

Just had to look up when I had my windshield last replaced...Because I turned on the defrost yesterday and got a fresh one right across the windshield...at least 2 feet long...WTF.

Anyone know what these plants are? Found them in the woods today on a side trail I don’t usually take because our normal route was flooded out from the rain. Wondering if they’re (a) valuable but mostly (b) if I can get them to grow back from a clipping or something, or if I have to be shady and steal a plant from the woods  I just like it and might want to do some in my yard.

So it's probably whats left from a bulb flower after the flower grows and dies. The remaining leaves provide energy to store in the bulb for next year...If you mark it you can dig it up after it dies back and replant it in your mulch bed...Also look for a dried woody stem that has fallen next to it. That would have been the flower. My guess is Daffodil because deer don't eat them..
It's probably one of these on this list...

hey guys, have hardly had a chance to get on here and just saw this. I’ve been flat out between crazy work hours and every spare moment on a bathroom renovation. But - Finally - starting to wind down. After new year’s I should be pretty much good to go. Haven’t touched the welder since may. Kinda looking forward to getting back in the garage a little. We’ll have to come up with a day to do that.

Looks like a yucca plant to me. They are evergreen and typically a desert plant but there are cold tolerant variations that do well in the northeast.

Morning chowderheads. Crap first "storm" for me. The weatherman said 4 to 8, I just didn't realize he meant millimeters not inches. I got a nice, hard coating of ice all over the driveway, setting me up nicely for the worlds nastiest driveway award TWO TIME CHAMPION in a row.

At the end of the storm we only ended up with a few inches. It turned back to rain and also made our driveaway a giant skating rink. Snowblower was useless, i spent ~3 hours breaking the ice up with a spade and then using a snow shovel to clear it. Not too far West of me got like 8" of decent snow. Bummer.

In the fun of being a homeowner this weekend I went to replace the gasket between the tank and bowl of the upstairs toilet since it was running and that's the only thing I hadn't replaced. Go to close the shut off valve and...it doesn't completely stop the flow of water. Sweet. Run to Lowe's, get a sharkbite shutoff valve with attached braided flex line/ tank adapter. Shut off the main in the basement, chop off the old valve annnd the copper line is 5/8" not 1/2" so sharkbite won't fit. Looking closer they stepped up from 1/2" copper to 5/8" copper just about right where the line comes up through the floor. Double check with caliper, and cut off the 5/8" piece trying to leave as much 1/2" sticking up as possible. Get new sharkbite shutoff valve/ flex line on and go to test it. Turn it on and the wife yells down all ok. Then like 15 seconds later I hear water is fucking coming from the lights!. Great success...

Sometime during the replacement a connection at a 90deg elbow broke and started spraying water into the ceiling of the first floor when I turned the main back on. Fun. I cut out some ceiling where I think the leak is and sure enough I can clearly see the break. Looks like there was barely any solder on the joint and it literally just popped off right at the 90deg elbow. Run back out to Lowes, at this point ~6PM and get some PEX and a few sharkbite fittings. Took the entire section of pipe out (it is enjoyable cutting out pipe through a ~18"x!8" sqaure hole... Measured the sum of all the old pieces, assembled new PEX line with 2 90deg elbows and the short piece to go back up through the floor and fished it back in place. Barely had to sand the existing copper line I attached back to in the ceiling. Pop sharkbite onto existing copper and voila' back in business. No more leaks, spent until ~1030PM cleaning up the fucking mess from cutting out wet sheetrock ceiling.

And today onto the original issue, the damn toilet. Need to figure out some way to get a small sawzall blade or something between the tank and bowl cause the fucking bolts heads are disintegrated in the tank...O and then repair the ceiling after the space drys out.

Can you split the nut holding the tank to the bowl? I'd be more inclined to try that than a sawzall. Do you have a dremel with a cut off wheel or an angle grinder for that matter that you can hit the nuts with?

Dremel I have, not enough space for and angle grinder on the right side. I could probably get one in there but i'd likely end up damaging something or cutting off a body part. Maybe i'll try the dremel. I fucking hate rust/ contractor special shitty hardware.

That should work. Usually those bolts are a fairly soft metal. If that doesn't work, you could also drill it from the top since the top of those bolts is pretty thin also. It wouldn't be a lot of fun drilling in the tank but could be another viable option to consider.
