Hah, congrats! I just traded in my '03 V8 4R yesterday for a Cement TRD OR.

It doesn't look like too great of a deal, but they offered me an additional 60% on my trade in over every other dealer I spoke to, so taking that into consideration the discount is really closer to 6.3%, which is still not phenomenal, but it's the truck I wanted with the add-ins I wanted and the color I wanted, so I'm a happy camper!

26,200 wasn’t the best but with the tax savings it put it right at 28k. I’m ok with that.

Yes sir! People sometimes forget about the value of the tax exemption. I saved about $2400 in taxes by trading in as well. Definitely makes the convience of trading in worth it.

Yup, I saved more than $2k in taxes from my trade in sales tax exemption.

 

No deals or discounts out here in California on a 2021 Trd pro, dealers stance was either take it or leave it the car is in high demand !!

 

Insanely good looking truck but 10k mark-up... Feel like it'd be better to buy a plane ticket to an out of state dealer that is willing to do MSRP or slightly above. I know that theres always someone in line behind you... but thats crazy!!

It was a buy, with this model there wasn’t any lease rebates or incentives.

Yeah I pulled the trigger, dealer wouldn’t budge on the price, they pretty much said take it or leave it buddy!!

 

Been talking to numerous dealerships for the last 2 months. Think I might try to pull the trigger by the end of 2020. Want a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport 2WD Double Cab Long Bed in either cement gray or magnetic gray. Would $34,000 before TTL be considered a good price or a great price? I am in Southern CA.

I think considering where the market was several months ago, anything below MSRP is considered ok in many parts of the USA. You’re at about 8% off so I think it is more than good.

Looks like you got a pretty good deal.

 

I guess the market is what the market is. No different than houses when the demand is up and the supply is low
