Vinyl door panels

My dogs are scratching my panels below the windows. What's the best way to protect from this? Are there precut panels I can buy?

 

Put them in a crate where they belong? It's safer for the dog to be in a secured crate, it's safer for the driver, i.e. the animal is not a distraction or worse, interfering with the safe operation of the vehicle like the retards you see with their dogs on their laps while driving. A secured harness is also a good option if you don't want to use a crate or have room for one.

Well that's for you to decide I suppose. I wanted to put my little cousin in one yesterday while I was trying to work on his dad's truck and he kept jumping in the bed to mess with me; I did threaten to tie him to a tree if that counts.

They do make some interior panels for some common police vehicles like Tahoes since working dogs tend to get bored and chew up the interiors (usually the upholstery) but I've never seen anything like that for Tacomas. You could always buy a couple of sheets of ABS or Kydex and mold them with a heat gun. Some heavy duty Velcro should hold them in place or you could do something like the screw in snaps if you didn't mind drilling a couple of holes (ex.

Guess you are talking about inside the truck then? At first I thought you were talking about the outside door panels.

For the OP's problem, a a piece of cut and bent ABS attached by hook and loop fasteners (e.g. Velcro) is the first time that comes to mind. ABS bends pretty nicely when heated so I imagine you could form it (on a vice or your workbench) to fit the inside door areawhere I'm imagining your dogs would jump up pretty well. Then attach some adhesive hook and loop fasteners to the door and the ABS and you're good to go.
