Somebody posted a picture in the hunting thread the other day with a monster buck from Florida. We have some big deer here and also some small ones.

I hadn’t known you long when you bowed that one down, was hoping it would happen again last month while you were hunting. Hopefully soon :fingerscrossed:

I’m struggling too trying to get Cole one. I don’t usually hunt a lot in December cause they hard to find around here after being shot at so much but I’m still going every chance I get to take him, hopefully he can get him two bucks soon. I’ve put my rifle up until he pinches.

    I hope he gets one!!:fingerscrossed:
I put a camera on one of my super easy to get to doe spots a few days ago (it's 92 yards from my truck:)). They're coming out at 4:30 everyday, I still have a doe tag or two, I like to shoot deer; you see where I'm going with this?

    Choot em!

I haven’t seen a mature doe all season. All bucks or yearlings. It’s crazy this season.

It's been odd here too. I've been fortunate enough to see alot of deer but, like you, mostly small bucks. I've got my eye on these gals now. My buddy hasn't shot one with a bow in a couple of years so he has first dibs....but he better hurry.
Don't mind the time on that, I always forget to fix it.

I use to process them myself but we never really ate much of it. I'm kind of a 'take it or leave it' on venison; I'd rather give them to people that really like it. Although I love summer sausage with cheese and jalapenos.

Me: Sitting in the office watching the Eagles/Packers game.
My wife: Doing something in the kitchen.

She enters the office and presents me with a jar of salsa. I can only assume that she'd like to consume it and it's being uncooperative. I take it from her and laugh.

    First mistake.

The lid is slippery so I can't get a good grip on it. We go into the kitchen and I wrap the lid with a towel.

    Still no good.

    Now I'm getting pissed.

A few more attempts and I'm starting to get dizzy.

I tell her I'll be right back. I go out into the garage and fetch an oil filter wrench. Fucker didn't stand a chance. :muscleflexing:

I (jokingly) asked her if she wanted me to put it in the utensil drawer since I have 2. There was a longer pause than I expected before she said no.

As I went to put it back in the garage, she said "guess I can't kill you today, either"* :help:

*standing joke (at least I hope it is...) that once the kids are out of the house, I'm a goner but then she wouldn't have anyone to fix her internets, toilets, open stubborn jars, she'd have to pay for snow removal and lawn mowing...
