    Kansas has plentiful walk in hunting land. I live in KC Metro area and cost of living is reasonable. I've only lived in Kansas for a year coming from Missouri but I had several good buck encounters on public without getting in bow range (probably my fault). I was hunting prime rut in the southern part of the state and ran into little to no hunting pressure on deeper walk in property. Also, great mule deer hunting in western KS from what I hear.

    I dont hunt, only target shoot. I cant imagine NV being bad. 90% of land in Nevada is public.
