I'm hoping this is an OK board to post questions/discussion of various gear.

I've been kind of curious about the "solar thermos" that's being sold by "4patriots"; looks kind of like a backpack-sized GoSolar that's meant to be arranged vertically and claims to be able to boil a half-liter of water decently well (they don't make any time claims, which I get since time of day/conditions can be a huge factor for that sort of thing).

Wondering if anyone has any experience with that sort of gear, including also the 1.5m 1500-1800w cookers that seem like they may or may not be very easily portable.
