What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Got a few things done this last week

finally got my Christmas lights on the truck

I did my T4T shopping after fund raising we were able to donate $550 worth of toys



With the help of @geekhouse23 we were able to change out my moms front and rear brakes

 

I got the same one a few months ago. I love it too. Looks great on your truck (and mine).

 

dang. I would pay full price for it. I love it. I just had good timing this year. I was going to get it late October and I reached out because I had a question about how the product works and they literally told me to wait to order until Black Friday lol. I would have paid the whole thing but I waited and got the deal. Really great customer service by them

 

Here in Iowa, blue and red lights (not sure if flashing, solid or both) will get you pulled over.

 

how far do those compress? Looks like it would be less bump travel.

 

Have only driven on street thus far. I am looking forward to seeing how much up travel I have when off-road.

 

I had been tossing around the idea of getting those or waiting until Alpharex comes out with their 2.5 gen headlights.
I've need headlights replaced for a good while now. Is the light output much better? Let us know if they develop any condensation.

Agreed! It's a tight fit but I'm very thankful I'll be able to leave my spare tire there and not have to build a swingout or something similar.

The ride is good, really no different than stock. I don't have a lift. I added them to level the truck out when towing a trailer or carrying heavy loads in the bed.

 

I'm assuming your going the swing less route? Did you use the bed tracks to mount spare or what? I wanna figure out a better way to mount my spare other then a rachet strap. Lol. Srry tailgate is under construction atm.

Yeah I just have it ratchet strapped to the front bed rail. It works great.

right?! I got so lucky this used tent popped up. Only $650

 

Nice score on rtt. My ratchet straps go here ccuz the bed track sits lower since I relocated to the toolbox.

 

Used it to bring two loads of firewood home. Right down the street from me, the apartment complex is getting an Ash tree slowly taken down. There were a bunch of rounds cut up laying on the ground, so I just helped the tree service along and collected them.



With the 5100s in the rear, and the General Springs HD leafs, I can say that I had loads of suspension travel left with a load of ash rounds and 300lbs of sand in the bed, vs this time last year, when going over the speed bumps on my road were a shocking affair since the stock leafs were completely bottomed out.

 

Thanks to @McRib I have some new to me low profile bed bars to carry more stuff around. I figure in the summer its gonna make carrying paddle boards easier too.

 

Wash, clay bar, and DA polished. Sealed with Opti-Seal, and little spray wax top coat. Then it rained.....
