I recently had my clamshell and 3rd member swapped out with ECGS Nitro 5.29 (left the front diff open). I did the proper break in, and about 2 weeks after the 500 mile oil change... I notice oil in the driveway under the front diff.

It didn't look like it was coming from the drain or fill plug. Since I was unable to determine where it was coming from, I took it to the dealership today, hoping to have it fixed as a warranty issue (that was wishful thinking).

They said it was leaking from the vent tube. They said they fixed it, but I'm pretty sure it may still be leaking...

    Anyone have this issue?

I'm using the Lucas 85-140 oil, as recommended by ECGS.

Usually if fluid comes out the vent , its a sign of being overfilled or getting very hot .
Vents are installed to allow for heat expansion as well as allowing the air to exhaust to the atmosphere .
The vent allows air to escape and prevents water intrusion . Its a 1 way valve but they can fail .

First thing I would do is a fluid level check followed by a test drive . Got a temp gun you can use after a drive to see how hot it is ?

    Got a scan guage ? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-diff-temp-sensor.697797/#post-24692177

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
The front one is a rubber tube with the actual breather valve inside of the engine compartment (between battery and engine block mounted to the frame). I've heard these getting crusty and breaking off but with yours being a 19, I doubt thats the case. Maybe it popped off or got damaged somehow.

I have a rubber hose, it’s open-ended. should something be plugged into that?

It slips over the hard metal line on the bracket which then transitions back to soft line at the wheel well heading up into the engine bay. The hardline bracket bolts on top of the diff and connects to the diff breather and the ADD actuator breather.

There’s 2 metal lines that couple together with a nipple-like male piece, that looks like it will fit inside the rubber hose.

Yes the larger hard line is what the short soft line of diff tube breather connects to.

Follow the hard line and it should connect to another soft line on the fender.
