    Crazy is what we do

Yeah, as much as I want to go I'm also out in the case of ice or heavy soup.

That's a pretty good focus for your attention. Congrats on progress!

Oh, guess what I'm not doing today? o_O
Good reason though, our silicone didn't arrive.

Just a forewarning, if any of y'all haven't sent out christmas crap yet, DONT with USPS. Pay the extra, get it there on time, or at all...
They've been losing LOTS of mail, marking it early, their tracking numbers are fucked up, packages are arriving weeks late. If you insure your shit they aren't going to get back with you. Just do yourself a favor and don't. The extra few bucks goes a long way with UPS; I'm their bitch. I'm sure FedEx is good, but all their locations are in Walmarts and frankly, I'm good.

That's a good looking Odyssey, if they keep on top of the timing belt schedule and as long as the cylinder cut out for eco mode isn't giving them any trouble, they should be good to go for a real long time.

    You're funny.
I used to bet people what codes would come up on the scanner when they brought em in......and none were ever cheap to fix.

Although the Tepui special edition "Odyssey" never had the VCM system.....

we put about 280,000 on an '03 with no issues. Other than one of the rear window motors going out. Sold it to a friend of a friend who needed a van for kids. Dad got my grandma's 05 Odyssey. That's got about 140 or 160 on it... And it has the adjustable pedals and the eco mode and 100 other things that have been giving us small headaches constantly

USPS has been especially screwy all year, so yeah its probably a nightmare now. Currently waiting on a package that fell off the map...

Last May one package shipped from Nashville to KCK, then took a detour up to Fargo.

If maintained well, they did well and would. Lotta people let em lapse and that's where it would start.
The VCM on the newer one's can cause a host of problems with misfires and oil consumption.

So I'm thinking of painting my wheels like this guy did https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/painted-trd-wheels-graphite-and-other-mods-pics.149421/

I'm going back and forth between gunmetal gray or graphite, either in matte or satin. I think the wheels look super slick, but I've been wondering if it would look good to use the same color on all my chrome, i.e. grill surround, badges, rear bumper. Here is a pic of the same wheels with Duplicolor graphite. Thoughts?

I suggest doing a better job than I did.

Take off, deflate, stick notecards around the wheel, and go HAM. I tried gunmetal grey on my stock wheels, it did not look good, but that was likely cause it didn't clash with the red and black on my truck.

I plan on either doing it exactly right, or exactly wrong. Whichever way works best, but I'm sure there will be a lot of prep. I think the graphite will look best, especially if I'm covering my chrome with it. I'm thinking a few layers of plastidip and then the paint on one wheel will let me see what it looks like before I commit %100.

I ran anthracite on the wheels of one of my 240's for a while. Looked good with black, enough difference to tell being the key.
I have never been a black wheel person, especially on a black vehicle. Nothing to differentiate in my opinion.....

Yeah, if I could get a metalized gunmetal gray color, I think that'd give a good contrast. So far, no luck on that and I'm not even settled on the graphite because it looks super different in all the pictures. I'll see what I can pick up locally and test.

I'm also going to to my rocker panels. Removing the mud guards has decorated my paint down there. I should probably commit and do a two tone job like those duallys that pull horse trailers and toy haulers.

Plastidip is what I used. Helpful for sure if you don't like it.

We refinished a set of 850 turbo wheels, again for one of the 240's, in hyper silver.
Primer, etching primer, paint, then hyper clear coat.
Wheels were not in the best shape to start, and required alot more work than I thought.
They were a good ten foot wheel. I wouldn't do it again, even though I might have had $100 in it.

I still got my stock wheels, suppose I should clean em up and paint them better to sell. I almost sold everything for $20, but dude never got back to me about picking up so I never responded. It seems like I could get a little more for them.

I happened to take a few good bites out of mine sliding sideways in the snow this last trip to CO a few weeks ago, so I don't even expect a 10ft wheel lol. I just need the equivalent of a new haircut for my truck.

This graphite does look super good though...
