High (Bright) DRL is Green, turns OFF when low beam is selected. Dim (Parking) DRL takes over.
Splicing/tapping into 2 circuits without a diode wakes the gremlins...

 

Yup. For sure.

 

So seems like the pink wire is #5 from the DRL crt and green is wire #2 from the crt. I found a YouTube video where he quick-splices both pink and green into the light harness power side and ground the black wire. Just wanted to see what kind of issues might appear before I do it?

 

Don't. You'd be feeding the DRL (green) juice into the TAIL (pink) circuit an visa versa. As in when DRL is on ONLY, so is the tail/dash circuit. And when DRL is OFF (@ low beam select) the TAIL circuit would feed the DRL's.

 

Makes more sense with that diagram. I didn’t do it, too much doubt to mess with splicing circuits. I’ll keep having to look into this.
