Got some scene lights for the roof of my topper. I’ll be running them off a relay and all that fun stuff.

Would you wire them to be constant 12v or on accessory power ? Going to be using them as “camp lights”

If you're going to be using them as camp lights, wire them straight from the battery. That way you don't have to have your truck sitting on accessory mode for hours, or however long the lights are on.

Be sure to fuse the circuit and keep the fuse as close to the battery as possible

I'd wire them directly to a second battery if you are planning to just leave them on all the time.

Are you saying just have a stand alone battery for these ? Or to set the truck up for dual batteries ?

I would prefer setting up the truck for dual batteries if you are going to be using these for camp lighting.
Here's the thing, anything running for a long time that are drawing from the primary battery are going to be pulling it down.
Even LED with minimal draw will add up if you are leaving them on for hours each night. Some people might be comfortable with a jump pack in case the battery gets low and has trouble starting the truck.
We camp for 3-8 days usually, once the truck is shut off nothing draws from the primary battery. I like to know that the truck will start when needed.

Have you considered one of these? Runs for hours, bright as heck, tank lasts a camping season..
