    Hey guys,

Having to change the bearing hub on my 2007 Tacoma 2WD 4-cyl 5 bolt. Was looking at parts and they seem to only have the bearing hub assembly that is bolted on by 4 bolts but I’ve got no access to remove mine. Wondering if the whole unit has to be replaced? Thanks

The whole unit doesn't necessarily have to be replaced, but unless you have a shop press it would be easier and perhaps cheaper to just buy whole new assemblies.

Problem is I want to buy the full hub unit like this image, which most tacos seem to have but an assembly like this doesn’t work on mine so I’m struggling to find one that would work

Oh shoot sorry I should have counted your lugs first. I believe the 5 lug needs to have the bearings pressed out and new ones pressed in. I'm not very familiar with 5 lugs tho, sorry.

You might have more luck in the 5 lug section of these forums.

Actually, that’s a prerunner bearing and hub as evidenced by the spanner nut.

I stand corrected you may be right
didn't see that weird looking grooved thing at the top, if that's what you mean
which I think does not come on 4x4 one that is also 6-lug, bolted to spindle with 4 bolts

    You have one choice:
I did a quick look around and didn't find any assemblies ready assembled...

Remove your existing steering knuckle and have new bearings seals etc pressed onto the spindle.

Per your asterisk, the smart move is to buy those too. Some will risk having to make another trip to the dealer to save a couple bucks and hope they have those in stock. (They should, but you just never know...)
