I moved out at 35 when I got married :anonymous:

My wife’s parents suck. She actually got into it with them yesterday at the store about disrespecting her in front of our kids. Won’t have it.

My wife is one of those people that if you think it, she’ll say it. She speaks the truth though. Took me a long time to realize it but it’s strengthened our marriage.

My earliest memories are from Grand Forks - Dad was stationed there from 1965-1970. After 4 years in Nebraska, he had orders to move back to ND - Minot this time. At the last minute, a guy he knew from military personnel called and asked if he was interested in an assignment in Germany. Six weeks later we were in Wiesbaden instead of Minot.

We've found it easiest to just not see her parents as we just ended up mad every time they were over. And mine moved to Georgia so we never see them, either.
My wife's not one to mince words, either. I'm definitely the pacifist.
Even though my dad was born up here, he was never stationed here. Korea, Germany, California and Georgia but he was out long before I was born. Still only cost them $24 for me to be born on Fort Benning.

Same here, though I moved out at 19. Saved a lot of alimony, heartaches, & general mayhem by waiting. Loved the taste of those wild oats...
Spent a boatload on cars, bikes, booze, wimminz...the rest I wasted, as they say.

Man last night was the longest amount of sleep I've had in years. I average about 4 maybe 5 sometimes. Got a whole 8.5 last night. Once slept 18 hours before. Hadn't slept in over 36 hrs prior. Ah my dumb youth.

Good morning everyone! Beautiful sunrise this morning. It’s 27° and one of the guys next door said hey to me in the parking lot. He had shorts and a t shirt on

Repeat job, not sure how many of these they have. Got to move the slots to the other side and cover the existing ones.

    33 degrees here

There's guys by us at work that wear shorts all winter. It's just got to be a cold walk out to the car and until the car warms up.

Same here....a guy I work with wears shorts everyday, says he only has one pair of long pants (funeral/wedding pants), he's 51.

Good morning fellow blue collars :hattip:

23 here this am. I went to a friends house last night to help troubleshoot his Teryx that won’t start. His son was outside in shorts working on a snowmobile, and once he got it running he took it for a ride. It was 30 degrees out.

Come to think of it I don't know that I've ever seen this guy wear pants. He drives a box truck and delivers cookies so I know he's out in the weather a lot. I just can't do it. I have my toboggan on now and the heat on in the shop.

Fargo: Warmer than North Carolina and Maine in December.

I think that should go in the travel brochure. :p

For reference, it's 29 right now.

Several weeks ago I faced my rotors in the lathe, it made them worse with shimmy than they were with all the interrupted cuts. I clamped them down on the face and did the backside and now doing to face with a fly cutter. Hopefully this works.

Update on my package, same as yesterday. It's still in the boro with no status change today. I hate the USPS, hate is such a strong word but not in this case. I get they are covered up with Christmas gifts but this happens all the time with them not just this time of year.

after I saw you do that I tried to put the rotors from my wife’s 4runner in my lathe, but it’s too small to fit them (13” colchester). It never occurred to me to fly cut them on the mill. Next time!

It would be easier to take them somewhere with a brake lathe but it's hard for me to admit defeat and pay someone else
