Sounds like a lot of trouble.

I just go jump in a lake when I have a mind to cool off.
We have a good many lakes 'round here...Laurel Lake, Fuller Lake...lots of lakes.

You couldn't pay me to get in the municipal pool...with all the kids.

    I'm not criticizing, just saying.
I very much liked living in SC and loved the people...by and large.
(Some of my relatives excepted)
But yeah, they just didn't know how to drive in snow.

The Laurel Highlands is a plateau on the crest of the Alleghenies.
It catches a lot of snow every year.
Any Lake Effect snow from the Great Lakes that didn't fall closer to Lake Erie got dumped there, it seemed.

We've lived in this house 28 years and can't remember buying our washing machine so either; it's at least that old or we both have dementia (or possibly both). Today we decided to pull the plug on the ol' gal and I just purchased a new piece of shit from Lowes that should give us weeks of trouble-free laundryinginging! Can't wait for it to break down!

Top load right? Never go full frontal! It gets the floor all wet and you’ll need pig socks!

Did the old one stop working?
Or did Mrs Stock just want a new one?

We have a washer at least that old, a Kenmore. Top load, of course.
Actually, Mrs Gritto had it before we got married.

Several years ago, the switch died that interrupts the cycle when you open the lid.
After looking online (unsuccessfully) for a replacement, I finally said fuck it and hot wired it.
So it doesn't cut off when you open the lid...big deal. :notsure:
