Added a little bling to the Tacoma today.

I took the chrome emblems off the doors and tailgate today and gave the truck a much needed wash! There’s a big fire about 75 miles away and for the last 3 days my truck has been getting covered in a layer of nasty ash every morning because the Santa Ana winds have been bad lately and been carrying the smoke and ash right to my house.

I took the big TRD stickers off the bed sides as soon as I got the truck because I didn’t really care for them. So I just got some “TRD Off Road” badges from Taco Garage in the style of the the ones that come on the TRD Pro. I put them in the spot that the Tacoma emblems were. Toyota puts them under the mirrors on the Pro, but I liked them in this spot better... plus it makes my truck just a little more “mine”. I got some 265/75/16 Falken Wildpeaks last week too and really like the way they look and handle so far. I also added a Rugged tri fold hard tonneau cover to be able to lock stuff in the bed. I know it’s not as bad ass looking as many of your trucks on here, but it’s coming along. I never intended to do all that much to this truck anyway since I already have a dedicated off roader/overlander 4runner, so this will be my DD for many years to come hopefully.

 

I debated, and concluded, you needed more enabling - the interior button, knobs, vent rings, and door handles also have chrome. Also, the wheels.

 

Too much chrome in those headlights, time to toss them.
