Don't put it in Ultimate mode when in traffic for the first time. It scared the shit out of me!

It does take out a lot of lag. And it's awesome off road in economy mode. So much more control!!!

    Anyways, enjoy the new toy!

I have to bid my holidays at work...strange but true. I know its early and considering Covid could be impossible to ask, but, when are the important dates in the spring/summer/fall?

My B'day is rather important...last week of Sept.

I know you were hesitant to outright ask.

I like Star Wars figurines, if anybody is wondering

Well in the fall is when we have our yearly adopted trail cleanup Ardbeg so that is one pretty much the one date I can think of.

Summer usually has one trip to Ardbeg as well.

VMUTS has become more popular this year depending on your wheeling wants, VMUTS is longer highway travel time but different type of wheeling from Ardbeg. You can wheel both with a stock rig but I feel VMUTS has much more stock friendly trails available. As it has 200+ KM of trails to roll around on.

Tell us when you boook off and we can go from there? We don’t really have set dates.....we aren’t that organized. Well @Norilsk isnt :duel:

    :notsure:

sometime in the summer, maybe sometime in the fall? Other then that let us know. You can also plan a trip/run and we can offer it up on here.

I feel like I'm always in here posting random shit. Just seeing if anyone has any suggestions or experience with this.

Basically I've got my summer project car, it's a 1991 civic. I ended up having to do a full chassis swap last year because my last shell had some rust that compromised the frame. My new shell that I've got mostly complete had a roll bar welded in, I didn't have much choice when I purchased it at the time and it had the cleanest body that I could find. Last time it was on the road was 2001!

I ended up trying to get it insured and my broker couldn't get it insured with the roll bar. Previous to that I was insured with hagerty no problem even after tripling the power and lowering it. Only difference is the roll bar and the VIN. So I've begun purchasing replacement panels for the ones that were cut to fit the cage and interior pieces I sold or gave away in the event that I have to just hack the cage out and throw the back seats in to appease the man. But it's winter and I figure I'd at least post my scenario up in a few places and see if I can get any leads to anything before doing any work in the spring. I do want to take the civic to the track once or twice a year or do some autoX to enjoy it spiritedly in a safe environment. But apart from aesthetics, the roll bar does have some safety benefits for me if I do "take it to the track" as per the anti streetracing ads. I drive like an old man in my taco and I'm fine with that, I don't street race or do bullshit on the street. But I'm being forced to take the roll bar out, just because a computer says that a bent tube of metal makes my car a high risk. My car is far from a race car and it's really not any different than any muscle or classic hotrods.

I know there's some guys who have custom work done, roll bars and stuff like that. If anyone has any leads to a broker or company that would actually listen or use some discretion I would be very appreciative.

Cool...Im thinking that its gonna be a Inter-Provincial year with Covid. I'm looking at VMUTS for sure...im thinking a 3/5 day tour there in the late spring...then maybe another tour in the summer. I guess it depends on the Pandemic status.
I'm also down for a fall run somewhere...I might head down to a buddies in The Gaspe' for a week as well. Crazy wheeling down there...haven't been there in almost 20 years!!
Anyways I'll see what my weee little brain comes up with.

I would ask on the rally cross groups, I would believe people Install rollbars, drive on the road and still insure them.
I am looking into rally cross right now, but still not part of any forum or group.
