    I cannot speak on the Bestop, but can speak a little on my Softopper.

    I chose the S" over the B" for a better look and over all functionality (to me). That said, I still dig my Softopper like a champ being only 6 months old and get comments on it all the time. Fold up or complete removal is fairly quick. I did opt for the added rear mesh window as well. This definitely aids in heat reduction in the summer months in the back even with the front and sides still in the down position.

    Edit: The only thing I really liked about the B" over the S" is the added rear brake light.

    I put my softopper as close to the cab and by doing so the rear sits on the tailgate and haven't need neither velcro or magnets, had it on the highway at 80mph no problems, also looks much better without the gap between cab n topper. Bonus, Xmas lights all around 20201123_162020.jpg

    Adding a brake light is pretty easy. Attach a 12v LED strip to some 1in wide onewrap hook and loop. Insert it between the rear panel and main section. Fish a quick disconnect into the tail light area and tap the brake harness wires.

    I have LED strip and one wrap left over if folks want some.

    If you wanna make the rear tighter, move the frame assembly forward. YOu will have to make the frame assembly taller by pulling the lock points close together. I had to do the same. I took a big hit and that rears pulled out cause of the slack.

    How high was the platform that you saw in person?

    My idea is to keep valuables stowed away under a deck/platform with a locked tail gate. Or at least a built in box towards the cab
