Bull bars?

    hello, mainly lurk here, but genuinely curious as to why some of you guys put bull bars on your trucks? I think they look cool, but I did a bit of research on them and they were originally made for livestock ranchers - to move the bulls out of the way... why would someone who lives in suburbia have bull bars on their truck? Curious as I see them everywhere in the city.

    Looks. And a way outdated look at that. Those are about as fashionable as capri pants.

    Most ranchers dont use them either. They use ranch hand bumpers. And the more wealthy ranchers install bump-gates that they can open by tapping with their bumpers. Those are fun.

    Ryan - that made me laugh out loud - I was thinking the same thing

    I was in the military for nearly 30 years and still work in a special forces compound and there are bull bars everywhere - and I know most of these guys live in suburbia.
