COJONES! Educate me: Why is shipping into Canada so expensive? Is it an import tax, conversion, both, what? Stuff I've gotten from overseas has been WAY less...it's just over the land border. WTF?

 

That is the question of the year for sure. It seems even worse this year than previous years and it certainly can't be the fuel cost that they can use as an excuse.
If something is shipped through one of the big companies they tack on a ridiculous amount of $ for "brokerage" handing fees. I try to get things shipped through US Mail which transfers the parcel to Canada Post at the border and the cost is always less. From personal experience I will say that UPS is the worst with exorbitant brokerage fees and if your parcel is damaged well just forget about filing a damage claim because they just ignore you.

 

Dude I would get anxiety just driving by that dealership. Is there another one nearby?

Government at its' best...wow. Sorry to hear that. It's not the same the other way around. I used to order from a .CA shop online and the shipping was rarely a few dollars more or less either way. Hopefully when the border gets reopened after the "super-flu" fears disappears you can get hooked up. CRAZY.

 

Negative, it came with ABC kit. I got the complete package so it came with everything needed.

 

My wife wasn’t sold at first. I basically just had to go buy one. After she spent one night in it she was sold. She won’t go back to ground camping now. My two large dogs sleep happy and warm in the annex. Honestly my CVT is probably the best thing I got. They are expensive, but it’s a more forever type thing. I had my first for 6 years and it still is great. I only recently bought a new one becuase our family just got bigger.

If you live near a show room take her down and let her lay in one. You can also rent them for a night and sell her that way.
