It always goes so fast! I'm always waiting for the puppy faze to pass and miss it and want another after it does.

 

Misso has a second lined up to receive in a month. Get the puppy stuff over all at the same time

 

no idea how this dude ended up at a shelter. been with us for a year now, and he's great.

Couldn't wait had to go back to see my new pup. Breeder said I should be able to take him home January 15. Still very undecided on a name. Kinda have no clue.
Sisters dog is on The right different litter but 2 weeks apart.

Awww, now I miss having a dog even more..here's one I tried to buy from a friend's daughter, she was given to her free. What a fun and lovey pup she is. A mut, like pit bull, husky, lab or something

 

The thing about dogs and names is you almost need to let them live with you and choose in a couple weeks.

Took Ember for a hike today.

 

I was in the same boat as you and its all good brother. I had labs all my life and chihuahuas were not even on my radar but after three years of begging from my wife I finally agreed. We now have two and they are awesome. Remember they are dogs like any other and chihuahuas have great personalities.

The male Chi is such a lab and a total stud with no fear whatsoever
He's also my mountain biking partner, snow skiing buddy, E skateboarding and EUC riding fool and rides shotgun when offroading..actually he demands it lol. I also trust him as my logging spotter and the ladies love him so he also makes a killer wingman (don't tell the wife ) He's a total adventurer.

Like a proud parent I could keep going with the pictures but my point being keep an open mind and an open heart and you will be surprised how awesome chihuahuas really are. You may even end up with a new best friend like I did.

After our last two Labradors, I suggested to the wife I would like a mini-pincer. She said no.. I just would prefer a smaller dog who ate less and therefore left less...if you get my drift. Plus I just like them little lap dogs. Although many times our yellow lab was my lap dog.

 

The dog that passed in July was a Pom/Yorkie mix and she was a great little dog. I just had big dogs all my life, she was the first small one. Our neighbors have a chihuahua and it's great that's kinda how we ended getting one . The dogs definitely have their own personality, I'm really excited about getting her. Your pup looks awesome I can only hope that ours turns out great like yours, those are some great pictures

 

Just don't become like the little dogs around here. They crap on your lawn but their owners never pick up after them.

 

No, we are on 2.5 acres and a large portion chain link fenced. I get to pick it all up lol
