I don't listen to the radio or any music when I'm driving so if the Walbro 255 pump is pretty loud, I will probably hear it all the time. Most of my driving is around town 25-45 mph and I'm thinking that would be really annoying after a while. So is it loud enough to really bother you?

I have the Walbro in my Miata. It's very whiney, almost like a mosquito buzzing in your ear. But the fuel tank is also right behind your head in that car. I usually have music going and the top down so it's not really an issue for me. I have the extended crank issue too. But I just turn on the car without starting it, put on my seat belt and that usually gives it time to pressurize.

I found a video online where a guy swapped out his Walbro for the Deatschwerks pump and he did a sound comparison. There was a big difference in the noise so I'm sure that the Walbro would drive me crazy.

I have the Walboro 190 in my 04 (came with my URD 7th injector kit), it's quiet *most* of the time except when I've been driving for a long time and it heats up (I guess). Long drives make it noisy, same with offroading. It will hiss/whine like a stuck pig, admittedly it is kind of annoying.

Walboro claims it's a characteristic of their pump design and nothing to worry about as far as failure goes, mines done it the whole 4+ years I've had it installed and other than the noise, no issues.

I also have the AEM 340 and I only notice it outside the cab at idle. Never noticed it inside while driving windows up.
