What tires came with your trd offroad?

I WISH I could choose my tires. My truck is scheduled to be built the 22nd of December. I gotmt9 choose everything but my damn tires. I'm assuming It will come with something that's barely offroad worthy, which makes no sense. Just curious what others got on their rig when it came.

 

The wranglers aren't that bad. Depending on what terrain you're gonna be in would dictate a need sooner or later or never depending on your situation.

Yank em off if you want toss a different set on and sell em on here or your local forum.

 

^ what they said. Pretty sure those are the only tires that come on the off-roads. Read reviews, they're not that bad of a tire.

 

If that's the tire the truck comes with, I won't be too upset.

It is. Check out whatever part of the country you're in sub form. Some people absolutely LOVE the bfg k02's. Some people despise them. Always comes down to what part of the country.

I personally have ran the stock tires through a pretty good beating. Sure as shit isn't a mud tire but I hate mud anyways.

Used them in snow did very well actually. Tried to hit lonesome lake in WA and was in fresh powder halfway about 12" deep.

It is a SL so if you're talking desert of the south west like jagged rocks, shale, cactus then you're gonna wanna get something else pretty quick.

Pavement? Keep stock.

 

After a year with these tires I don't have any complaints. Traction has been fine on wet roads and dirt ... I've had little snow but then I put my OR in 4WD. I'll keep them on to get the $ out of them.

 

Good to know about the 12 inches of snow. Living in NE Ohio, we get our share. Not as much in Akron where I live. But visiting my dad in Chardon, he gets like 2 feet in a night, where I'd only get like 3 inches. It's called the snow belt for a reason.

Looks like those tires will suit me just fine till I decide to blow more money on it.

 

Only place that was flat to stop for the first 8 miles. We turned around here. The snow was not as deep here for several reasons. Snow pac under, wind ect. The snow drifts on the way up were quite impressive for a stock height on stock tires.

If I had stopped, myself and @Jasonstacoma probably would've gotten stuck.

Anyways it was a perfect snow though. The following week was not.

 

I found the OR’s wrangler ATs significantly better in snow than the SR5 ASs. I was over impressed. I still have them on a 2nd set of wheels.

I had intended on using them for daily driving instead of my mud terrains, but with covid deceasing my road mileage and my habit of going off road frequently, I have left the mud terrains on.

Snow is in our forecast. Can't wait to drive in it with the stockers.

 

Mine came with the Duratracs I had just bought a couple months prior for the taco I traded in. Probably not relevant to your situation though lol.

No way was I letting my '16 go with brand new duratracs on it

My '16 Sport had whatever stock tires came on it for 55k miles. I hated them. When Toyota did their buy 3 get 1 free thingy, I put the duratracs on. Then a few months later I saw the '20 DCLB OR in quicksand on their website and went and bought that lol.

It was questionable at best. The following weekend we didn't make it 2 miles. Pulled out 3 other rigs 5 times to get them out. We followed suit. One rig insisted on pushing. I guarantee that FJ got stuck and ended up walking out or waiting for much better equipped rigs to get them out

 

Mine came with the same Goodyear's pictured earlier in this thread. I've driven with them on snow-covered roads in 4Hi with no complaints and done some moderate four-wheeling with them with no complaints. I have 5K on them and plan on keeping them until I start having problems with them or they get closer to being worn-out.

 

I was really surprised with the OEM goodyear tires when the 16's came out. They do really well on snow and look decent for a Toyota OEM tire.

I wish I never sold mine but I wanted duratracs badly and needed to recoup costs.
