Turn signal bulb does not fit????

    Any help is appreciated. 2012 Prerunner front turn signal burned out. The bulb will not fit through the hole to remove it through the socket hole??? The new bulb will not fit through the socket hole. The bulb fits well into the socket. Took the bulbs back to Autozone, they triple checked the bulb two different guys came out to look and said they had never seen the issue. Any thoughts are
    Much appreciated.
