Planning a big cross country over landing trip in the spring. Going from Ohio to Idaho to Texas to Florida and planning to stay in national parks along the way. Been looking at RTTs and I’m trying to figure out what’s worth the money. So far I’m leaning towards the Body Armor, Roam Adventure Co., or the Smittybilt XL. I’ll be getting an annex and an awning as well. What’s everyone’s opinions? Brand? Size? Color?

I so against RTT, then i finally got one after dealing with a ground tent. Well worth the money. I got a Ranger RTT from TuffStuff Overland. In my opinion most of the soft top covered tents are all made by the same manufacturers.

I have a CVT Mt. Shasta Summit with annex. We only use the annex for the dogs. It takes 2-3 times as long to set up with the annex. Given the choice, I would avoid the annex if you can...
