Any woodworkers?

I’m not sure on that yet. I live in South Tulsa and it really doesn’t get to cold for long here. And I like the idea storing tools in between the 2x4s of the walls.

 

Your call, but after you get all your shit packed, hacked, built in, screwed down and mounted... you’ll be standing there in July blowing router chips outta your nose and watching the sweat drip off your safety glasses into the munge stuck to your saturated Iron Maiden T-Shirt...

(I’m just saying: take a minute and consider all ‘utilities’ first, power, air, insulation, dust ducts, etc. before you fill her up)

 

I wish I could go back and insulate my shop.

Yeah, fill those stud cavities with batting and not tools.

 

Insulate walls then sheet inside with plywood , hang tools anywhere you want

if you have any concerns about rodents out there , use Rockwool Comfortbatt insulation , they don't like to burrow in mineral wool

 

I'm in Broken Arrow and my shop is in an insulated garage. It still gets pretty hot in there! I second the rec on insulation but would try to cram a window AC in there if you have space.

 

Thankfully the previous owner left a large window unit in the shed.

Started in on another shutter for the dining room. This one is dadolicious. Once I get this and one other done I'll be painting them all.

 

Spent some Christmas money today!

 

The rods have a lot of flex ‘mid span’. 3/8” is the biggest rod that will fit in the router base.

Thoughts...?

 

1"square tube? Or make a wood one

 

No good way to bolt it to the ‘top’ of the base, if I attach it to the bottom... don’t think I’ll have enough bit sticking out...
