Hey I am looking to sell my tacoma but want some insight on how to value it!

    2016 SR5 DCLB 3RD Gen
    -69xxx Miles
-Toyo Open countries with 1500 miles on them with Method Wheels (same mileage as tires)
-Front Sus: Icon Upper Control arms with Bilstein 5100s (2" lift)
-Rear Sus: OME Heavy Duty Leaf Springs with OME BP51
-No body mods besides TRD Pro Grille
    -minimal cosmetic

    Extras
    -Go Fast Camper

Thoughts on price as a package as well as just truck and just camper.

    Thanks,
    Cole

Mod's can sometimes hurt the value unless you can find someone wanting that exact combo. You may be better off putting all the stock pieces back on and sell your aftermarket stuff separately.

The truck is going to be worth around book value. Mods don't add any value and sometimes (depending buyer) may subtract value. The camper will add value for the right buyer, but many typical buyers won't want it. I think you'll sell both of them for more and quicker if you sell the camper separate from the truck.

I think you’ll make more selling the camper separately, unless like others have said, you can find someone looking for a similar set-up.

Not sure. However, trucks with modified suspension gets less for trade in than fully stock. Not everyone wants a lifted truck and therefore stock sells better.

To the right buyer, truck would easily sell for whatever fair market price is going for at the time of the sale.

    Like, so many.
I'd separate the camper and truck. Don't expect any more from your truck other KBB.

Mods add nothing. Take camper off and sell it separately.

Also look at online car buyers like carvana, carmax, and so on.

I wrote off my 2017 TRD Sport back in October with a few upgrades and the insurance claims adjuster looked at 8 dealerships to see what my year base truck was “selling for” PLUS gave me 25% value on all my upgrades I submitted receipts for PLUS an extra $2400 just because I took care of the truck more than normal to determine the value insurance paid me.

You’re getting a lot of vague answers, OP.

Assuming it’s 4wd, you could get around $35k on the West Coast with the camper, $28k without. Probably more in San Francisco.

The value is subjective to the region.

Everyone here saying mods don’t add value. Sure. According to everyone on here. But you can sell it for more. I sold my 2017 with lift, armor, topper and tent for $46000 this year. I paid 34000 for the truck in 2017. Bull crap mods don’t add value. Lol. You just gotta be patient and wait for someone whose looking for your package.

edit. Gonna get flammed for this cause everyone gets their panties in a bundle if you say you can sell it for more then blue book if it has mods.

Post the camper on the GFC thread. They're still a year out on lead times. I'm sure you'll be able to get a good price on it separated.

Lots of people love the look of the lifted Tacoma. Get it detailed, take some awesome photos and it will sell quick.

I would try throwing it up on the go fast forum as a package. I bet you could get full price for the camper and 25-30 for truck. 35000$ Or so for the combo doesn’t seem unreasonable.

Figure out what you think it is worth to you and then add $3000 more to it. People like to over pay for these trucks.

    Stock, 4WD, Access Cab, White,
In that price range, you are likely competing with new trucks. Most buyers will need to finance that amount. So, financing a few grand more spread out of 60+ months is not much additional each month.

Truth, most buyers don't want your mods, they will want to make their own mods. Sure, there will be the exception, but that buyer is the small percentage of buyers.

Trucks are expected to have tires, springs, UCAs and a grill. These are not value adders. The shell could swing either way. Offer the sale with the shell. If the buyer doesn't want it, then take it off and lower the price a bit and sell it separate.
