My 2017 Taco didn’t come with the tow package. I generally don’t do any heavy towing, but I do have a small utility trailer I use on our property to move things around and clean up downed limbs and stuff.
I can add a receiver hitch no problem, but I would like to have the 7/4 pin connectors (as factory as possible) for when I need to go into town to pick up hay and feed.
Has anyone had any experience adding the factory style (or better yet, OEM) wiring harnesses to a truck that didn’t originally have them?
If so, were there any part numbers or kits you could recommend over another?

e-trailer has the 7/4 harness. There's thread on which one to get.

Normally they just plug a harness in under truck, pretty simple

That was my hope! I don’t want to get in there and have to splice a bunch of $#!+.
