A lil this a lil that.
I recently acquired a 1986 Toyota 4Runner. My previous experiences have been with an 84 Hilux and a 85 4runner (straight axels). That being said I am looking to upgrade the front suspension and would like some direction or advice on possible options. I do not plan to SAS it any time soon and I do not want any sort of spacer lift. At this point in the trucks life the rear springs have fallen flat. The rear suspension is easy enough for me to address, it's the front that I would like help with. Thanks in advance.

I had one as well, it was always in rocket launch mode. They are a hoot to drive.

I would start with maintenance, then work your way up. They are known for ball joints, steering pitman/idlers, and bearings.

They are torsion bar so its simple to lift and lower dependant on how much rust is on the adjuster bolts.

Anyone have a link to a coil over suspension swap? Maybe at that price SAS would be more cost effective.
