I've had no issues, and wires are cool to the touch.

At some point I'd like to add relays, to try and get a bit more voltage at the bulbs.

I know gas siphoning isn't as common anymore... but, a locking gas cap. Apparently some people still like to do it around my neighborhood.

I've heard a lot of people have had many problems with the reliability of locking gas caps on their 3rd Gens, but this one has worked well for me thus far. Haven't had any check engine lights since I installed it.

I don't know why they can't just make Tacos with locking gas doors already.

Which ones did you get? I'm seeing a ton of brands, unsure which to buy.

Mine is an SR, so cruise control and intermittent wipers were big one's for me. I did the Subaru tweeter upgrade, but the jury is still out on that one. New Sport take-off's (wheels/tires), Gen 2 running boards, WeatherTech mud flaps and a Rugged Cover bed cover on the exterior, and an OEM bed mat to round it out.

For sure the best small mod that makes the biggest difference was the @MESO led map lights. I use them the all the time. Super simple to install, good price and crazy bright. I also got a rubber bed mat which I think everyone should.

Did you get the premium or regular? Looks like a $15 price difference.

I don't know what you consider cheap, but the best bang for the buck with my old Tacoma was by far the URD Short Throw shifter. Made it exponentially more enjoyable to drive.

Also window vent visors and floor liners. I hate not being able to crack the windows when it's raining so those are a must and a clean floor is nice.

    Fair enough.
I feel like someone would have to be pretty desperate to go to those lengths, but who am I kidding, I guess you never know with people nowadays.

I love it! Mud flaps are next for my SR.

I’ve done the intermittent wiper mod for mine, but not the cruise control. Although I have thought about doing it for some time now. Is it just as easy to install as the intermittent wiper switch?

Not being able to input a destination while moving was the big one for me.

I got this one a few days ago. It does help organize and put necessary items at your finger tips.

I bought one for the wife's 2nd gen with auto and just the top part. She didn't care for it and I agreed. It is better the one I got for 3rd gen manual.

I keep quarters for the car wash. I have that center console tray and it makes getting the quarters easy.

It’s not really “small”, but the OEM bed divider has already come in super handy for me many times in the month I’ve had my Tacoma. It works as a nice barrier to keep things from ramming into my tonneau cover when it’s in the open/folded position too (I had a set of 34” tires I got for my 4Runner rolling around back there today).
