Having difficulty determining the cause of my starting issue. The truck has difficulty fully turning over during cold start and there is somewhat of a straining or wining sound seemingly to help it turnover. I have linked a video for reference.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0spB18p1Xc

The battery is brand new and i dont believe i have a parasitic draw so i dont think it is a battery issue.

The truck has 128000kms on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! i have a dealer apt scheduled and would like to fix it personally if i could!

Looks and sounds like it cranks plenty fast. It seems you've got another issue with the engine not actually firing in a reasonable time. It also looks like it stumbles after starting. You're right, taking it to a good tech.

Doesn't appear to be a battery issue to me. Starter sounds normal.

Possibly failing fuel pump, bad fuel, bad sensor (if you have an OBDII scanner you could diagnose this), or some other ignition issue. Hard to tell from the video alone, but good luck!

Who knows what it actually is, but it is a dead nuts replication of the symptoms my Camry exhibited when the purge valve / solenoid went bad.

Never threw a code, and would run fine once it finally got it's act together each time.

Fuel PSI check would be step #1.
