I used white tape. Maybe I will try a few more wraps. I have always been taught never to run more that 3 wraps on npt threads.

I’m personally gonna stay away from Teflon tape for this type of application. I’ve had Teflon tape pieces break off in air tools and cause headaches, this has the potential to be even worst who knows.
This stuff here works wonders on hard to seal fittings and can handle moderately high temps. Hopefully it’s not the one you are referring to turd hawg.

I’m planning on using vibra tite 440 (or 446, less viscous) I’ve been using it for years on high pressure (>3k psi) pellet rifles. Fill in gaps and seals npt threads easily.

I attached the wrong pic, above is the “non-hardening”, aviation Form-A-Gasket which I’ve had no experience using. The Form-A-Gasket I’ve used is the “hardened when dry” which is listed as ‘1’.

I’m wondering if I’m going to need to get a back up daily driver once I get my kit. Had planned on throwing it in on a weekend and going from there but it doesn’t sound like it’s an achievable thought any more.

It's achievable as long as everything goes perfect. Unfortunately I am on week 2 now just waiting on little stuff.

To be fair, we should go look at other forums about boosting cars and see how long it takes them.

Tune files sent out to several of you guys.
normal shipping stops after today for us (not TT we are still packing and shipping on those)

Installing in a weekend is possible, but for folks with highly customized kits probably not. I'm working on making a few videos of the confusing / troublesome spots of install to clear it up.
once again, to make this 100% clear, if you are cutting stuff you're installing wrong so CONTACT US.

It's the passenger valve cover breather (part of the PCV system). It's supposed to plug into the intake pipe, but it looks like a fitting may not have been included with the kit in order to plumb it into the new piping. It's 5/8".

I looked through all of OV's pictures and the install guide and I saw no mention of it, and in all the pictures it is missing. I didn't see any fittings or hook ups in the new pipe pictures either. I highly doubt it's part of the carbon pipes, so I assume there is supposed to be a fitting similar to the boost reference fittings that goes through a silicone adapter. It's important that it's plumbed back into the intake. Probably just forgot to include the fitting.

I’m open to suggestions on part ordering if someone already figured it out, otherwise I’ll start looking tonight.

Just quick update. Clocking the drivers turbo got me off the shock tower, and it does for the passenger side too. All I have left is to hook up the drivers oil return, which I’ll get done today, then hook up the oil supply which I’ll get done whenever usps decides it’s time to deliver my package I guess. Then on to air!

You could always get one of these fittings and weld it to the aluminum Y coming off the intake filter housing. This would put it between the MAF and the turbos, so an ideal place. It ensures all air is metered.

The factory 5/8" hose might even still work if you flip it so it's pointing back at the housing.

good shit JamesT, thank you. I’m going to order it this evening unless I hear the original OV plan.

OV, what was the kit plan for that tube?

I ended up renting a little shit box. I have lots to work around.. dual battery, different IC, dual compressor under the hood etc. btw I got m14x1.5 bung plugs for the water ports to seal them off. I get so much dirt/dust/mud in the engine bay.

Little late to the party. Been following this thread since the beginning and excited to be able to get my hands on a kit. Thanks @TWTaco for the sale and taking the time to pack everything up nicely.
My biggest issue right now is waiting for Toyota to get fuel pumps in, unfortunately my truck made the recall. I plan on installing everything and mocking up the intercooler/piping. Then tear it all back off for toyota to do the recall. Unless any more of ovtune's pumps become available.

Any others here boosting a m/t? Are you changing the clutch or will the stock one hold?
