    I'll snap a pic. One of the bushings was tore up because the sleeve got deformed. Note that when I wheel my truck, I wheel the fucking shit out of it.

    Yea thanks. So did the OEM rubber bushings on the rack actually outlast the poly?

    My og rack, prob. My new rack I pulled the rubber out and put poly in. I tightened these to 75ft#'s and this is the result.

    Got the rack back in and everything torqued. Freaking steering wheel is off one spline... I think. Might try to correct up at the intermediate shaft inside the truck. Either way steering feels great now. White line bushings in the LCAs and now the steering rack. Also did the radiator support bushings at the same time. No more clunks!

    Thanks for this. I've been procrastinating putting in the ES bushings and no I know why. I want to see how the WL bushings hold before jumping in...

    How bad was the radiator support bushing replacement? I’m tempted to do that once it warms up again. Not gonna touch the cab mounts but the radiator support mounts might be worth swapping to poly.

    Super easy. Maybe 30min total. The stock bushings were nearly destroyed.

    Awesome. I’ll definitely look into it!

    Not a fan of vibrations in the cab from firmer poly mounts so not going to touch the cab mounts. Especially if I get a new frame when I take the truck into Toyota in a few months. I’ll just pay them to install new OEM mounts while the cab is off the truck.

    Alignment shop said the whitelines are letting the rack move more than normal. You have any issues?

    Not at all, actually, moves less than the ES bushings. You gotta line the washers up with the sleeves so they drop in to each other. Then tighten the bolts.

    I was rotating my tires today, and noticed the passenger side tire wiggles a bit when off the ground, but not the drivers side. Looking under there, it is loose inside the steering rack boot facing the tire. Is this unsafe to drive until I can get it fixed?

    My limited knowledge would say no. Inner tie rod is bad. That comes loose you are in some serious trouble if moving down the road.

    Its either the ITR or the rack. Move the boot to see the ITR joint, if it has play, then bad. If the rack rod moves, then its bad rack

    Mods are currently being changed .....
    Sooo, who here in the NJ area wants to help out with this one! I have a new oem rack and ps hose. Debating int. shaft to have on hand just in case. I've been putting this off to get through the winter so the new rack can have a head start and not get coated in salt as soon as it was installed.
    Would be really good to find someone who has done this before for some first hand experience.
