2017 Tacoma, 27k miles. While brakes are pressed and wheel is turned there is a popping noise. Does not pop when breaks aren’t pressed. Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like an issue I had. Turned out to be my front cab mount bolts were loose. See my thread here and watch the videos I made. See if it matches what you're experiencing.

Watch the videos in my thread and see if it sounds like your problem. I think the second video you can hear it more clearly.

Perhaps front brake shoe clap, clank or pop when brakes first engaged. Suppose to be normal if that’s the noise. I was tired of hearing it and upgraded to Power Stop brakes. No more shoe noises.

It takes a change in direction(forward/reverse) for the pads to clack and occurs only once per direction change.
