    Hi All!

2020 TRD Sport currently with stock 17” wheels and tires.

just purchased 17x9 TRD replica rims with 0 offset

    BFG KO2’s 275/65R17’s(unmounted)

    2” front leveling spacers(Mammoth)

anyone know what the result will be? Rubbing? I don’t have any mudflaps... so hoping these tires clear.

I searched the Forum and not many guys running 275/65R/17...seems like an odd size but I got a SWEET deal on them.

    I would expect rubbing.

OEM wheel had a +30 mm (1.31") offset with a 7" width. You are going to a 2" wider rim and pulling the wheel into the truck. You will be losing roughly 2.31" of clearance with just the rim.

Suggest to mount a tire on your rim, then place on truck, turn the steering lock to lock, checking for clearance.

The New Aftermarket rims above in photo have a 0 offset so I'm expecting to gain 30mm moving OUT of the well via the rim. isn't that right???

    Shit....maybe I got it backwards.

Anyhow, only way to be sure is mount a tire, install and lock to lock, check for clearance. Remember, the wheel also needs vertical travel when turned.

Tomorrow is the day. I’ll post before and after photos.

Super excited to see how they look....feel like I’ve read so much about tires and rims lately that my brain is melted. Been gathering the items over the last 6 weeks trying to do this for a reasonable price.

Yes, you are correct. Going from +30 to 0 offset moves the tire out, away from the suspension, all else held constant.

I’m actually impressed and surprised at how well it handles now. Wider tires feel good. Turns good...and feels springy. Love it.

17x9 with 0 offset is almost the same backspacing as the stock 17x7 with +30 offset. It means that it's tucked in almost the same as stock, but the extra 2" of wheel width will be pushed out so you might get some slight rubbing on the chassis mount at full lock mainly going up inclines or over curbs/bumps. It actually looks really good with that combination.

the result was actually quite perfect. Wheels are just poking out of the wells by maybe 1/2”. No rubbing, everything clears really nice with no trim.
