First off thanks for having me. I have came here often and found great info.

I am in need of some help. I have a 2011 Tacoma Double Cab.

Front passenger power window doesn't work from the drivers side switch.

The window does work fine both up and down front the passenger side switch.

I have replaced the drivers door switch with a known good switch. Didn't fix it.

All other windows work fine - has to be something between the drivers side switch and the motor.

I have looked for relays and checked all fuses.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I’ll go ahead and start by saying @Jimmyh and @caribe makaira are probably the guys you need to wait on. They know what they are doing. I still “think” I know what I’m doing. And there is a big difference.
I am no electronics expert, take my advice with CAUTION.

    It maybe the Passenger Switch.
I think the motors for the windows all Ground through the DRIVERS Switch.

If this were my truck, I’d probably try the following.

    Unplug the Passenger Switch.
Test HARNESSES Pins 5 and 2 for Ground.
If this is good, continue below.

Pressing the Drivers Switch - DOWN. (For the Passenger widow)
You should see power on Pin 2 (at the passenger switch harness)

When pressing the switch - UP
You should see power on Pin 5. (at the passenger switch harness)

If this checks out, the drivers switch and the wiring should be good.
(There is a small possibility the wiring can’t carry current)

Test the Passenger Switch. (THE SWITCH NOT THE WIRES/HARNESS)
Unplug the switch, Check pins 1-2 for continuity.
Then check pins 3-5 for continuity.

There looks to be a way to bypass the Passenger Switch.
This would let you know what Switch is the problem.
However, I don’t want to be the one to cause you to “damage” your truck if something goes wrong.

Or wait on caribe makaira .
He does much better at explaining things than me.
And he’s a whole lot smarter. As is Jimmyh

Looking at the diagram you need to put a test light across pins 2 and 5 on the passenger switch and operate the drivers switch, if the light lights when you press the drivers switch then you probably have a bad passenger switch.

    Dude. You are too modest.

Everything you suggested was spot on. The only thing I would add is while checking the passenger switch to actually cycle the switch contacts while reading the resistance. You should see it cycle between an open circuit ( OL ) and a closed circuit ( near zero resistance ).

And to help clarify this: " If this checks out, the drivers switch and the wiring should be good. (There is a small possibility the wiring can’t carry current)"

If a wire was nearly open and only a few strands of wire making the connection you would still see the voltage, but those few strands of wire could not carry enough current to move the motor.

So, does the passager side switch get its power through the driver's switch?

If the drivers switch is pressed then yes otherwise both wires from the drivers switch should be grounded.

My driver side switch doesn't operate either window (2 door). The locks work. It's a new switch that tests correctly. The passenger side switch works.

I thinking it's the harness. When I test it only pin 1 seems to be grounded. Uggs, wish I was better at this electric stuff.

If the passenger switch works then your ground should be good at the drivers switch, you need to check for power at the drivers switch.
    [Edit]
    Wait, @LuigiMac is yours a 1st gen?
