    Howdy all. Has anyone by chance made their own MT shift boot retainer with a 3D printer and have an STL file they are willing to share? I have attached a picture of something I am looking to have made by a buddy who had a 3D printer. There are a couple folks selling them online which I would love to support however living in Canada the cost of shipping and dollar conversion makes it rather expensive. I have also tried a couple rubber washers and grommets such as I've seen here but cannot find anything comparative at the local parts bins. I just want to run my aftermarket shift knob from my Subaru without the shift boot flapping in the breeze!

    Cheers,

    MM

    This may not help you, but it's another idea;
    this is what I'm planning on doing with mine when I get it. I'm not a huge fan of keeping the boot retainer on there. Involves lifting the console plastic, cutting the zip-tie holding the boot in place, then zip tying and duct taping the boot where you want it along the shifter. Exposes a bit more of the shifter itself, which I think looks way better and less awkward than keeping the boot in place with a grommet of some sort.

    [not my pic, not sure who's it is, but credit goes to them]

    There was, but it doesn't lend itself to filament printing. You need SLA / SLS. @7r41lbr34k3r is the way to go, esp as he has two newer versions of that collar.

    Do eeet, you don't even need to watch S9.

    I just got through The Good Place and enjoyed it, similar level of humor. But, obviously completely different.

    IMHO, until very recently, Scrubs was the last great sitcom. Nothing touched it until I'm Sorry. But, it only ran two seasons. So, there's an asterisk there.

    A purist!

    I can't get the Mrs to watch it. She doesn't like Zach Braff, so it's a hard sell.

    Such a shame, doesn't know what she's missing.

    I teared up a little when the actor who played Ted passed away. National treasure!

    Yup! The situations were fresh and the comedy was actually laughable versus the usual grone.

    That sucks though. Maybe someday.

    I did not know that he died. He was the perfect lawyer. Go 2020!

    That's not bad at all. May satisfy me until I can find a better option!

    It has reliably been $11.64 (usd) shipping. Lots of Canada orders this month, from all over, and the price has been the same.
