Some days do, some don't. My last job at work was so up and down in time requirements, it's hard to compare. Basically data analysis that I worked on the systems durng the month and reported by me at the end - when everyone wanted it, and the people I needed hadn't done it yet.

I'm happy doing something as well. It's nice to kick back after a constructive day. Getting some stuff out of the way in the garage this week really unleashed that kraken - I'm happily making more progress!

You are slightly confused about the "gives me" the money! l paid for that all my life, it's NOT the Governments money, it's what I lent them to use in taxes while I worked for 50 years. Keep up your hours because you are only 30 years away!

Sounds like you're going to be staying busy! Yeah same here, I normally travel to Houston during Christmas since most of my family lives there but I am going to stick close to home this year.

Schools have payed monthly for years and nobody seemed to complain about it. What they strike about is high cost of health care and retirement

Burning hickory all week, I throw a 12”’ diameter log on at night for a sleeper log. The fireplace requires 1 visit, early in the morning, ~1am push the sleeper log over and add a couple more smaller logs and it’s good till ya wake up.
