Since about 2016;) Friday seems to be the day when some poster will offer up some sort of whack ass idea or experience here on TW.

Drove an ‘84 Toyota pickup in college. Butterfly valve in the carb froze in the full open position. Was getting 7 mpg and obviously had unburned gas in the exhaust. Buddy suggested hooking up a bbq grill igniter to the exhaust. I passed but you could always try......

Would that even work without compression? I think the OP wants it to be showy.

Gas burns, vapor explodes. Guess it depends on your definition of showy!

There is always a bit of unburned fuel, especially in older cars. There was a guy in high school that had a spark plug tapped into the end of his exhaust on a switch that would shoot fire from his ‘75 Chevrolet truck.

And this is true as well. Every time he did it after the fire it would backfire big as shit.

It does. Sometimes my mustang does it on WOT shifts. At night you can see it and hear a bang in the exhaust. Scared the shit out if my first time it did it.

That’s exactly what a stock Tacoma is missing!

I think it all depends on where you want them to spit from. Underneath the hood, doors, fenders, truck bed, passenger seat...

They all have there pros and cons. Definitely post up some videos when you get it done

I don't see this being a problem. 2017s didnt have parking sensor, I think, I could be wrong. Fire it up!
