Aftermarket headlight issues in Canada

So I have a 2020 TRD and recently I've been looking at aftermarket headlights such as the morimoto xb gen 2 and the alpha rex nova series. I keep reading that they are compatible with US tacomas but not Canadian tacomas because something with the DRLs cause a problem with the aftermarket headlights sequential turn signal that causes them to remain stuck on amber and don't return to the normal DRL white LED.

From my understanding it's because canadian tacomas don't have the option to turn off the DRL, is there a way to disable it? Does anyone in canada have a 3rd gen with aftermarket headlights with sequential signals and somehow bypassed this issue?
