So weird. It's been over a year now. Aftermarket Pro grill, factory garnish. Removed chicken wire, installed the new stuff. Angled as installed. It just works. No washers, nothing. Never one error.

Which grill did you buy? Where did you get the garnish?

The only thing I pulled out of my ass was I put on this super self sticky super rubbery mat on back, cut with slits to fold over the back of the sensor. No one directly recommended this, but supposedly it should mimic one of the fixes (I think)

I’m debating going bro with the sparksparts OEM one for my 2020. What’s the best option for the garnish now that the jp-genuine eBay guy is gone? I’d rather have one with the coloring correct and not have to tint anything. Anybody got any crazy deals on an OEM one?

am Pro grille w/lights, black tailgate letters, black badging, 265-70-17 Duratrac "c", Rear seat platform,
[IMG]TRD grille.jpg New grill installed quite easily. Now I'm trying to decide whether or not to pull the letters back off and paint them in Inferno. This was the only only body color they didn't offer them in. Still trying to figure out how to get the lights to come on with my running lights without adding a separate switch. Currently they come on with the headlights.

Installed my grill the other day, no issues with the sensor or anything.

Took truck to dealership for TSB. They noticed I swapped the grill and suggested I pay them ~$180 to "calibrate" it.

My understanding is that it will self calibrate over the first while of driving...

When you take the sensor off your old one grab the two threaded inserts off the old grill and put them on the new one, they slide out towards the center. The videos I watched didn't, and just installed the sensor with the one screw in the upper corner... I'm wondering if that might be why some people have issues.

Thanks for the heads up on that! I'd likely blow right past it myself if I didn't know.

Yeah if people are doing that wrong that would be a big OOPS. Seems obvious, but......

Anyone know where to get the hardware for the garnish, the two push washers? I managed to snag a used OEM garnish on eBay that someone didn’t know what they had for $20, but no washers.

Sadly mine did not recalibrate after a week or 2. Dealer took several attempts and 2 diff apps to recali mine, ended up with a new sensor, new harness. Speaking with the service manager, its quite a job for them, they had string and plum bob and a laser and some type of grid thing on the wall. I got lucky, no charge.

    It’s a work in progress
    This post was very helpful.
I purchased an Amazon grill and garnish, after installing I received the “clean sensor” error. Used two washers to shim sensor and now have no issues. So many thanks!

@along16 yes, top image is after, bottom image is before. Still working perfectly, no issues.

I ordered from MC Auto and still waiting for the delivery. Now I'm wondering if that garnish will be the same color that @zane-z had. That will drive me nuts.
