I don't have the pictures anymore. But my buddy got in a pretty bad wreck a few years ago in a 1st Gen access cab Tacoma. My buddy had the right of way turning left through an intersection, had just left from a stop, when a drunk kid coming from the opposite direction in a honda accord blew the light at about 60mph and hit him head-on just right of center on the passenger side. It crumpled up my buddies truck, bent both doors so bad they wouldn't open, ejected his bolted down tool box across the road and deployed all the airbags. He managed to climb out the sliding back glass (back when the openings were decently sized). He walked way with a broken pinkie toe. The kid in the accord didn't fair as well, spent a good bit of time in the hospital from what I remember. When they tested the other driver's blood at the hospital he has a .28 blood alcohol and positive for cocaine.

Moral of the story: Tacomas will save your life... and don't drink and drive.

Its amazing what I see people walk away from completely unharmed; Vehicle safety has come so far.
