Nubie with Off-Road in Texas

    Hello All... glad to be part of the forum. Just traded my Dodge Ram for '07 Tacoma Prerunner 2WD OffRoad. I've had many Toyotas in the past and am sure be glad to be back. Don't know what ever possesed me to stray.

    Moved to the Austin TX area (Georgetown) from NW Arkansas about 4 years ago. In all that time here in central TX I haven't actually "needed" 4X4 yet, so decided to go with the OffRoad edition with its locking rear differential. Hope I don't regret it :).

    Would love to hear from any of you about your experiences with "locking rear differential" only VS 4X4.

    Again.... I'm glad to be on board and looking forward to meeting some of you guys.

    ha i thought you were my good friend with your intro. he just traded in his 4x4 07 dodge ram too for a tacoma and he lives in texas. i thought i got lucky and saw him. guess not. im a tacoma newbie and so far i love it. mine has the locking differencial and it does amazing back in the hills. havent taken it in the mud or snow yet. i kinda dont want to so im not let down haha. welcome!

    Hey Thanks to everyone for the welcome. Drove up to DFW to pick up my truck this past Tuesday. Love it !!! Can't wait to get it in the dirt and see how that locking rear differential works.
