CA hog hunting

I'm wanting to get into hunting, and I'm thinking to start with wild hog. I only have 5.56 right now but am game to get .308, .30-06 etc.

I've been googling for packages for my friends and I to go on to get broken in. Get our hands held, referred to a butcher etc.

Packages in CA and Arizona seem to run up to about $1,000 a person. CA also needs one to get tags (blows my mind, its an invasive species).

Any suggestions on package deals/good businesses available in CA or neighboring states?
