So I installed new headlights yesterday and while trying to aim the low beams a bit higher using the built it screw, the low beams went out and the truck won't start.

Seems like defective headlights/wiring so gonna check the headlight fuses but not sure how that would cause it to not start in the first place, any ideas?

    Thanks:D

    Define no start.

Were these some aftermarket fancy things? If so, what does their support line recommend?

Check all the fuses. Sounds like a short.

Unplug them plug the old ones back in and see if everything works . If so then probably the new headlights you purchased
Could also just be one of them is bad
If nothing works after you switch back check your main ground wire is still firmly attached to the frame

Well it does crank but it won't fully start. Interior lights work, even the high beams work. The moment Fogs and low beams went out I tried to start it and yeah noticed it wouldn't start up lol

Definitely gonna try disconnecting the new aftermarket headlights but not an expert on this type of situation, just seems weird that a headlight fuse would affect the vehicle to the point of not fully starting.

    It’s not a headlight fuse
Check your ground 1st. Seriously I have spent all day with an electrical problem on a Jeep only to find a damaged main ground
I’m not saying that is it but it does sound similar
If it’s cranking and not starting look at common problems 1st.
battery charge less than 13 v? Are you getting a click click click when cranking - battery sounds like could use a charge

Ground wire loose / or damaged when you were pulling the old headlights
Starter going bad - could be ? Strike it hard with a hammer then see if it cranks

I seriously doubt you’ve blown a fuse and if you had it would still start no problem

Thanks! It just seems so weird that the headlights would discharge the batt after having them on with the truck off for only 45 mind.

I ended up recharging the batt and that did the trick, now the low beam for one of the headlights doesn't work so gonna have to replace that, wonder if it's coincidence or crappy lights but not taking any chances.

Oh for sure headlights will run a battery down fast - the thing is once your past 12v the battery usually won’t have enough cranking power
Low beam being out could just be coincidental
Glad you got it running again
