Question about tolerable size for spare:

As of recently I’m driving on 32x10x15 tires. My spare wheel is the stock 16” and I wonder how it would go running a spare of similar circumference on the stock 16, like a 275, which is .24 inches different in circumference. Just to get me to the tire shop if I get a flat I can’t plug or patch.

Street and fire road type off road.

I haven’t had a flat in 35 years and am fully aware that I’m going to get at least one just for starting this thread.

As long as its run on the front axle and 4x4 is not used you'll be ok. Rear axle is a bad idea, unless its to get you to paved roads.

I've had mismatched tires on all my offroad trucks and never ran into an issue.

Of course, not on the rear and only in 2wd. Ok, thanks!

1/4” isn’t going to hurt anything on any corner of your truck. Your rear axle isn’t welded and is meant to slip for difference. The front if 2 wheel drive it’s no big deal. If you happen to have to go a while on your spare you could just air the larger tire down about 10lbs less than the other
