We have a sign on door that says we’re closed, I don’t think they would leave it and if they did someone would take it. So here I am.

Who uses a 9mm tap? We have a 7mm tap, used for one hole.

This was for a guy been here a 1/4 century or more. One of the most knowledgeable guys around but not on mechanics tools anymore. So much has changed over the years and he has the cowboy way in him, the way things used to work...20201221_103548.jpg

It's hard to say for sure. Nothing I can recall. Most things here are standard SAE but as things are updated see a little more metric these days. 3/4 of these taps may have been for government jobs.

To this day I still haven't bought myself Impact tools, I do all my vehicle work with wrenches. I feel like it's kind of cool until it takes me way too long to rotate tires lol.

Dayum. I use air tools constantly everyday when I can. So much quicker and easier.

If not air, cordless. I bought a cordless impact last year and it’s awesome.

Just found out my supervisor is still planning on having a holiday lunch tomorrow for everyone that reports to him. Changes from last year - instead of going to a burger joint near campus, we're having a local BBQ joint cater in some stuff and we're taking over a classroom so we can spread out. :D

Note to self - don't pack lunch tomorrow!
