I just completed my lift, Bilstein 6112/5160, SPC UCAs, TRD Sema Wheels with 255/80/17 tires.
The alignment tech hated that I wanted this much caster, but I have no rub, rides well to my tastes, and wheeled well in the short trip I took yesterday. Are these numbers good?

I have 255/85r16 tires and they rubbed a couple times when stuffed when I had 2 degree caster. Now I have 4.8 degrees and no rubs anymore. Drives great on the road too.

I have SPCs and stock wheels.

The tech test drove it and came back all grumpy, "I don't like it" and made me start to question the caster. Thanks for the reassurance.

I hardly noticed much difference, but I think my caster was slowly increasing all summer as I off-roaded the truck, so I might have not noticed the slow change. If anything, I have to apply a bit more pressure to the steering wheel and the truck goes back to straight a bit quicker, which is what I think one should expect. Some guys on here swear by high caster and will increase it even if they are not lifting truck.

My truck with 33" e-rated mud terrains, King shocks, and 4.8 degrees of caster drives down the hiway really well. It's really easy and comfortable to drive. The tires are loud as crap, but I kinda like the sound. It's really a pretty awesome truck I think. It does everything I need quite well and then some. No complaints.

So many techs aren’t used to being asked to purposely put something out spec. They simple just don’t understand how you can change handling characteristics to meet specific needs. They were trained to put it in the green and not how you can manipulate the geometry of the suspension for the better. No fault of their own just how they were taught.

I would try to get the camber out of the positive and into 0 to -.5 with caster even.

I wish I had these numbers right now. Just got an alignment and they did not listen at all, and rubs like hell.

After my lift, I had a tire mount/balance and alignment done by my normal shop and they seemed to very confused by my oversized mud terrains and SPC UCAs. They called me multiple times to ask questions and it took them 4 hours to complete everything. The 2nd alignment I took it to a shop that specializes in off-road rigs and they gave me what I asked for with no fuss.
