BARE Outfitters Trailgate Panel

It has arrived! I gotta say, I realllly love the way this extra textured powder coat and BARE logo came out, it looks tough, I'm happy Thank you so much @AL Offroad Products !

I know this group buy was a bit of a rollercoaster, and @AL Offroad Products took a lot of heat, but I have to thank them for following through in order to make things right, its much appreciated, Happy Holidays! (and thank you for the Christmas card and decals)

I'll post more pics after I get it installed...

 

I'm So Glad This Worked Out For You - SoCalSport, but it makes me even more frustrated and upset about my situation. This is just my luck, now that I have seen how sick these came out & because I didn't receive what I ordered and paid for - I have never felt like such a shmuck (sucker ass bitch * tattooed on my forehead) - After all that was screwed up with my order they just pocketed the entire payment and all they said was, "My Bad" Never even offered to make it right in any way. The product is silly - The companies can suck the fat end of a tow hitch.

 

News to me, your panel shipped out Dec. 2nd and as of Dec. 13th you sounded like you were ok with getting whatever. I had to check both account to find this conversation. You said you were ok with whatever. Well you have a panel. Shipped Dec. 2nd, so now you want to call me out on here and make me look bad. Not cool! While we are here, is the AL panel still in the box? If so I will exchange it for one of the BARE panels and send you a shipping label, like I have with a couple of others.

Okay! You are misquoting me, I've been on TW since Dec 13th 2018. I posted that after I had already been waiting longer than expected on November 17th, and at that point I just wanted my order to be filled, that was also posted PRIOR to YOU telling me that I was getting the BEAR trailgate the next day because so many others had been complaining about the situation, since the BEAR trailgate is what I paid for in the first place I was willing to wait even longer - AND I DID!



This list was put up here by you... SO EXCUSE me for believing that I was actually going to receive what I paid for. Then - Then when I received the AL trailgate, I admittedly said I am not going to deal with the back and forth of sending it back, and that I would just flip it over. When I mentioned to you Dec 8th that I had waited and still received the AL TG, all I received was a sorry message, that you had done your best and how it was your Birthday so you were not dealing with the complaints anymore. If you were going to make it right, I feel at the least a partial refund was in order. When you asked me after all that for my address in a PM I actually thought that maybe I would receive the actual one I ordered, or possibly an apology letter with a gift card... anything. Then seeing SoCalSports post, and how much better these BEAR trailgates are packaged and made... Yeah I'm bitter, and yeah I called you out on here! Damn Right I Did!! I will not go through all the back and forth of shipping, I will just have to chalk it up as a lessoned learned, and I will not ever purchase anything off of Tacoma World again.

 

Your right, I am wrong. Have you installed and used the panel you have?

If YES, I am sorry for all the confusion. I guess you will be an unhappy customer. I have done the best I could with the situation and information I was given. I am still waiting to get my money on half the orders I have filled. I am not going to refund any money just because your not happy with the logo and the fact that we changed the powder coat to textured to improve our product. This product is less than 6 months old and will probably change even more as it evolves.

If NO, I will be happy to ship you another panel (Has I have with two other members, I even sent one guy the wrong panel twice. But he was cool about it and I sent him an AL Tumbler, AL T-shirt, and AL Hat for his trouble) with a return label for the other panel. But this is up to you and the offer will only last one day because I have people messaging me about buying these last two BARE panels I have.

 

Just want to tip the thread a bit away from the negativity, AL Offroad did us right here. I received my panel and installed with ease, looks awesome and was exactly what I was looking for. Its already taking alot of use and abuse. Thanks for doing all this work and going the extra mile.

 

Hello, This is Scott from ALoffroadUSA.com. this is my personal account. I have been on TW for 5 years. I don't post much but I have gotten info about mods, problems and learned about what to look for. I have never joined a group buy because I have heard bad things and I have seen the abuse people can take on here. Now I know what's it's like to be on the other end of that abuse. I just wanted everyone to know that I am not some ass hole that jumped on here to sell stuff. I have been a part of this group for year's.

 

I'll chime in on this as well. I'm the one that has gotten two wrong panels and they have been great at communicating. We are in the middle of a pandemic which makes normal things a bit more difficult. I understand that we wanna have it asap to enjoy but things happen and they are trying to make it right. Hope people have a safe and happy holiday season.

 

Thanks al off road. Mine finally came through a couple weeks ago and I’m enjoying mine.
Worked well with my wr250r and didn’t flex or bend anything awkward.

Although, I would have loved a better textured traction one! Oh well. I ordered some grip tape for it after I noticed my dirt bike rear wheel swinging from side to side (on a fire road) after replacing my stock tail gate panel with yours. Minor fix, glad your open to updating and changing your panel to fit new buyers.

Also this is the last time I'm explaining how frustrating it is when the "Improved Product" was the one I was expecting you to send to me.
It's like going to a restaurant and ordering a steak and receiving ground beef instead, and then after complaining about it the waiter tells you I can take it back, and as you wait the rest of your family is enjoying their dinner right in front of you.
The panel is currently installed. I will powder coat it myself in the summer.
At least I know this won't happen to me again.
Sorry I couldn't be as cool about it as others. I quit TacomaWorld's forum altogether - this is bullshit!

Jus wanted to say that I too received my Bare panel and love it. Had a few hiccups along the way but all good now. It’s now how you start, but how you finish so thanks for getting everything squared away.

 

Well said, sometimes a little patience pays off. I love the product, even my wife loved it when she saw it, and she could usually care less what I add to my truck!

My post was never intended to make anyone feel like they got the bad end of a deal, I just wanted to share the product received because I think it came out GREAT and I am super happy with it. I kept in contact with @AL Offroad Products through PM if I had any questions, and I was always replied to quickly. In the end, AL Offroad delivered and I thank em for that. Hats off to em.

 

Agreed, took a little longer than expected but hey, it was a shitty situation where OP could no longer handle Bare due to unforeseen circumstances. Installed mine on Friday and it’s pretty bitchin. Love the contrast the raw aluminum gives. Went to Death Valley over the weekend and got it nice and dirty. I love it, well worth the wait. Thank you!

 

Got mine this week and installed it right away. The next day I showed all the guys at my jobsite. They all loved it!! Unfortunately they all drive large HD trucks so they were a little upset that they couldn’t do this mod on their work trucks. This made the tacos tailgate a way better workspace. Good job guys.

 

Well, let them know we will be coming out with more of them in the 1st quarter of next year. First up is Tundra, Gladiator, F150, and F250. We are already working on the designs for these and will be making prototypes next week.

 

What about Ram 2500? The guys are interested for sure. It’s great for setting plans on, and writing on your tailgate. And my coffee won’t accidentally get knocked over. I’ve lost a set of plans by spilling coffee over them.
