I have some dirty pigs who could use some of that hawgwash.

Assuming your assertion is correct, then why do tranny manufacturers recommend a fluid change around 100K? Wouldn't there be many vehicles with a dead tranny after the fluid change before they reach the 101K mark?

If the clutch packs "build up material", then they should never need replacing?

Assuming the assertion is correct, then the tranny would have an infinite life span, true?

Did my A/T fluid and filter change in October.....I only need to walk my dog. Tacoma is running and shifting very smooth with 110,000 miles.

I plan on doing something with the 12 I just purchased. Has records saying fluids have been checked changed serviced by dealer.
Cant say I trust it’s done.
She’s at 138k my MT taco was totaled rip.
It was so easy to just drain and fill.
The AT makes it more user friendly for other drivers.
Looks like I’ll be dropping pans on both this summer. Wasn’t sure if I should just drain and fill a few times during warm weather.

the wife’s Subaru needs it also.

I swap fluid/filter every year as i drive 30-40k miles a year. I dont recommend pressure flushing typically. Not to mention the huge machine I have is quite cumbersome at times to deal with.

    Drop pan
    Change filter
refill per service manual specs and procedures.

Drain & fill. I would do it now, again at 120k, and going forward stick to 60k intervals for this service. Use OEM fluid.

I just did mine a few months ago at 100k miles... disconnected a trans cooler line and ran the motor to pump out the old... added some new and repeated a couple times... then refilled. The old stuff which was the factory fill looked fine. I was going to do the filter at the time but a few of the pan bolts were corroded and looked like they would need to be extracted so I tabled that for later. I ordered new bolts and they are ready to go when I am. But this isn't that critical, IMO.
