    Hey Tacoma World,

Does anyone know how much weight the tailgate on a 2020 Tacoma can hold?

This winter I will be transporting my snowmobile in the back of Tacoma, and I am a little worried about the tailgate bending.

As you can see in the photos I built a little bed liner, which may help distribute some of the weight.

    What do you all think?

    Best,
    Justin

Is that makeshift bed liner continuous?
If not maybe a sheet of 3/4 plywood or a couple 2x10s.

The bed liner is 3/4 inch plywood with a rubber layer for moister and then hard plastic tracks so the skis do not tear up the rubber.

TOMB, Drainbung and BINK05TRD like this.

Most of the weight is in the bed anyway it looks like. Nice work.

It is not so much the tail gate bending but the cables breaking .

I have enough weight get dropped on the tail gate I replace my cables every year .
